Privacy Policy
The short version. No accounts. Your location is used to find stations, not stored. We keep your data only for features you turn on (alerts, the weekly email, Pro), and we never sell it.
Who we are
Tanki (tanki.app and the Tanki apps) is run by Nine Five Limited, the controller of your personal data. Contact: hello@tanki.app.
What we collect and why

Everything else, including favourites, vehicles, your fuel log and settings, stays on your device.
Who we share it with
Only these services, and only what each needs:
- Mapbox: coordinates, for road distances and trip planning (Pro).
- postcodes.io and OpenStreetMap Nominatim: the postcode or place you search, and your location rounded to about 100 m to show your area name.
- DVLA: vehicle registration.
- Google Firebase: push token, to deliver notifications.
- Google AdMob and AdSense: ads for free users.
- Google Analytics: usage statistics.
- RevenueCat: subscription status. Apple and Google handle payment.
- Resend: sends Tanki Weekly.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: bot check on the website sign-up form.
- DigitalOcean: hosts our servers.
We don't sell your data. Some of these providers process data outside the UK, protected by UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
Ads and tracking
Free app users see Google ads. On iOS, you're asked before your advertising ID is used for tracking. In the UK, you're asked for ad consent in the app. Pro removes ads. You can change ad settings at Google Ad Settings.
Cookies and on-device storage
The website only uses Google Analytics and Google AdSense cookies if you accept them. You can change your choice any time in cookie settings. The app and website store your settings on your device (local storage). Clearing the app's data or uninstalling removes them.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Use Delete my data in the app's Tanki Weekly screen, or email hello@tanki.app. We reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
Tanki isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date above.
