Tanki Social is the publishing tool we built to post Tanki's daily and weekly UK fuel price updates to Tanki's own social media channels — automatically, on a fixed schedule.
Tanki tracks fuel prices at thousands of UK stations. Tanki Social turns that data into short, readable posts and publishes them to the accounts we run, so drivers who follow us get the headline price news without opening the app.
Every post is generated from the same official data that powers tanki.app — primarily the GOV.UK Fuel Finder API. Nothing is written by hand, and no third party's content is republished.

Tanki Social publishes only to social media accounts owned and operated by Tanki. It never posts to anyone else's account, and it has no public sign-up — there are no third-party users.
To publish to our own YouTube channel, @tankiapp, Tanki Social asks the channel owner to sign in with Google and grant access. That authorisation is performed once, by us, for our own channel. Tanki Social requests two permissions and uses them only as described:
Uploads the finished video to Tanki's YouTube channel. This is the permission that actually publishes the Short. It is used for nothing else — we never modify, delete, or read existing videos with it.
Reads the authorised channel's own name and ID, so the tool can confirm it is connected to Tanki's channel before it publishes anything, and can check that an upload completed. This is a safety check that prevents publishing to the wrong account.
Tanki Social does not read your subscriptions, watch history, comments, or any other viewer data. It does not access any Google account other than the one belonging to the operator of Tanki's own channel, and it never shares Google user data with third parties.
